2003:
My wife and I went to Washington state in laste spring to visit my sister in-law.
We made our way up to Seattle for a day, which is one hell of a cool place. We
made our way back to Rochester, which is centererd in the state when viewing
on a map. Thick forrests suround my sister in-laws tiny mansion!.
I have always wanted to paint a barn. Stake a claim at my fine art career, 'cuz
ya
never
know what I will be doing when I'm 80.
We had past this rather intriguing barn earlier in our travels back from Seattle
and decided to go back to take some snapshots so I could paint it in my spare
time. We
struck up a rather long conversation with the owners of this barn which lasted
for about 3 hours.
This barn was built in 1868 by the elederly gentelman's Great, Great Grandfather.
The
barn was built using only pegs and no nails. 136 years ago and still standing.
Below is what I have started on. It is acrylic on mesonite.
I will post the finished painting when I am done.
